Director General's PA / membership co-ordinator

Competitive salary, based on experience + discretionary bonus + benefits

Based: Aldwych (London, West End)

We are looking for an experienced PA to support our Director General: everything from managing his busy diary to handling all his calls and correspondence.

Our Director General liaises closely with senior representatives of our 125 member organisations (banks, building societies, and other mortgage lenders).  A substantial part of supporting him will therefore entail looking after our membership arrangements.  You’ll keep member records up to date, provide administrative support to our primary governance Committees, arrange occasional social events and dinners, and act as the first point of contact for member enquiries.

And working in a small organisation (we currently have 33 staff) you will also be called on from time to time to give some support and cover across the business but in particular to support our policy team when required.

So the ability to juggle lots of balls with a flexible and positive attitude will be vital.

If you’ve worked in a trade body or other membership organisation before, that would be an advantage.  What is essential, however, is that you have had experience of providing PA support at a senior level, and that you are comfortable using a CRM database. 

The salary paid will depend on your experience.  You will be eligible to participate in our discretionary bonus scheme, and enjoy other benefits including private medical insurance, up to 10% employer contribution to pension, and holiday starting at 25 days a year (including a day at Christmas).
