- Advertising Standards Authority
- The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) is the independent, self-regulatory body for non-broadcast advertisements, sales promotions and direct marketing in the UK. The ASA administers the British Code of Advertising, Sales Promotion and Direct Marketing (The CAP Code).
- Advice UK
- Advice UK is a registered charity that provides a free advisory service to the members of the public on a range of topics. These topics include legal advice and debt counselling. The Advice UK website has links to local advice centres.
- Association of Independent Financial Advisers
- The Association of Independent Financial Advisers (AIFA) is the trade association representing IFAs, current membership now represents 70% of the IFA market. Website contains information and research on the financial intermediary market, careers and qualifications information for intermediaries and access to AIFA's publications and press releases.
- Association of Mortgage Intermediaries
- The Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI) is the trade association for mortgage intermediaries in the UK. Website provides careers and events information for mortgage intermediaries and access to AMI's publications.
- Better Renting Scotland
- Information on private rented housing in Scotland for landlords and tenants.
- Building Research Establishment
- The Building Research Establishment (BRE) is involved in research and consultancy for the construction industry. Topics of interest to BRE include the environmental impact of new housing, pressure on water and energy supplies, pressure on local infrastructure where large numbers of new homes are to be built and the development of certification schemes for modern methods of construction.
- Building Societies Association
- The Building Societies Association (BSA) is the trade association for Britain's building societies. Currently there are 63 building societies in the UK and all are members of the BSA. Website provides access to Building Society statistics, BSA publications, press releases and policy responses.
- Citizens Advice Bureau
- The Citizens Advice service helps people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice, and by influencing policymakers.
- Companies House
- Companies House is an executive agency of the Department of Trade and Industry its chief executive is the Registrar of Companies for England and Wales. The main function of Companies House is to incorporate and dissolve limited companies. Website contains information on registering and dissolving companies, statistics and a searchable database of past and present registered companies in England and Wales.
- Consumer Credit Counselling Service
- The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) is a registered charity that provides free advice on debt management. It has a free national helpline and eight advice centres around the UK.
