    The Council of Mortgage Lenders is pleased to announce early details of the CML annual conference. Taking place on 5 November at the Royal College of Surgeons, London, this will be the main strategic CML conference of 2014. We are planning a very special event that will go beyond its old MICE incarnation, to be the forum of the year for the industry's thought leaders.

  3. Treating Customers Fairly

    This practical, one day workshop will focus on the component elements of a firm's culture incorporating the thinking not only of the FCA but also of the key thought leaders on the subject. The day will also examine the evidence the FCA will look for to make their assessment.

    The CML's mortgage fraud conference will once again bring together key stakeholders to discuss current and future issues in the fight against financial crime. The mortgage market regulations are changing, and the National Crime Agency is the new central government body tasked with tackling economic crime. Against this backdrop, the conference will explore how these and other developments are impacting lenders, and will consider the latest fraud prevention methods.

    With the FCA complaints thematic review due shortly and a consultation following in the autumn, there has rarely been a better time for lenders to put the focus back on their complaints handling policies. Join an audience of industry experts for a half-day seminar dedicated to drawing out the key issues for lenders, discussing the proposed future changes to the regulatory structure and the most effective complaints handling methods.
