As the Director General (Chief Executive) since December 1996, he has overall responsibility for the management of the CML and delivery of the organisation's business plan. He is a key contact for external stakeholders interested in the UK including in the UK government, European Commission, regulators, and other trade and professional organisations. He is a regular spokesman for the mortgage lending industry in the media and at seminars and conferences. | |
Bob Pannell, Head of research Bob has overall responsibility for the CML's economics, statistics and research work, information services website. He works closely with other CML teams to ensure that policy and PR work is underpinned by rigorous, clear and relevant analysis | |
Sue Anderson, Head of member and external relations Sue and her team are responsible for the CML's relationships with CML members and associates, external stakeholders, the media and parliamentarians. Sue edited the CML's Mortgage Market Manifesto last year, and has written widely on mortgage market issues. | |

Sarah is the focal point of contact for membership and associate relations and works to ensure all members and associates are getting the maximum benefits from their subscription. Sarah also works to promote the benefits of full and associate membership to potential new subscribers. She worked as a mortgage broker for four years before joining the CML in July 2005. |
Jackie Bennett, Head of policy Jackie has overall responsibility for the policy work at the CML. This comprises lobbying government on relevant issues and representing the CML to government, regulators and other stakeholders. Her specialist subject areas include home information packs and valuation issues. | |
Andrew Heywood, Deputy head of policy Andrew's specific policy responsibilities include European mortgage and consumer credit regulation, UK consumer credit reform, social housing finance issues and the private rented sector | |
Kate Davies, Senior policy adviser Kate's responsibilities cover all matters relating to the regulatory structure for mortgage lending. She has an exceptional level of knowledge of both the FSA regime and its predecessor, the mortgage code CML | |
Rob Thomas, Senior policy adviser - funding Rob's specific policy responsibilities include mortgage funding, looking at the mortgage-backed securities and covered bond markets. He has extensive expertise in these areas, as he is a former financial analyst and also ran a project to set up pan-European funding vehicle for a group of major European banks. He also covers the buy-to-let market and developments in mortgage products. | |
