Property information systems common exchange standard - PISCES
Last updated 10/10/2008: any recent updates in this colour.
The property information systems common exchange standard (PISCES) enables the electronic transfer of information directly from one system to another. It removes the need to produce a hard copy of the information and the need to re-enter data manually. This increases the speed of the transfer and reduces the risk of human error. PISCES has developed a standard set of definitions and rules to facilitate the automatic transfer of data between different software packages.
We fully support the PISCES initiative, which will help the efficiency of lenders' businesses by having common technology standards.
Some lenders are already members of PISCES. We have recently signed a collaboration agreement with PISCES and encourage all lenders to
- adopt the PISCES Standard for their own information exchange needs, and
- assist PISCES by contributing their expertise to the development of the PISCES Standard.
More information on PISCES is available on its website.
