Issue no. 8 - 5 May 2010
The newly-published CML annual report reflects on a year of challenges – and the beginning of recovery – for lenders. Meanwhile, work on regulatory developments continues apace, with the CML submitting two important responses – on arrears, and proposals for extending the 'approved persons' regime.
In this issue

Our annual report, published this week, covers a year in which lenders began the process of recovery.

Updates on mortgage funding – and the 'skip index' – at the CML annual lunch
This year's CML annual lunch was a more upbeat affair than in 2009. And David Smith, economics editor of The Sunday Times, updated guests on some serious – and not so serious - topics.
CML possessions register to close
Our possession register is to close this summer. When we launched it in the 1990s, it provided a useful tool for members. But it has been superseded by more sophisticated services from other suppliers.
