Mortgage complaints seminar

23 March 2010

Seminar time: 0900hrs - 1330hrs

Background:

Following the publication of the FOS ‘level of mortgage complaints’, another window has been opened into our industry. So, how is the industry dealing with complaints? And what does ‘best practice’ look like? Has there been a fall out from the FSA agreement with the industry on increase in premiums and/or decreases in cover under MPPI? Has TCF really been imbedded in the culture of lenders?

This seminar will look at mortgage complaints and what we can expect to achieve in the coming year.

Confirmed sessions and speakers include:

  • Keynote address: David Thomas, corporate director and principal ombudsman, Financial Ombudsman Service
  • Complaints and defences on CCA: Georgina Squire, partner and Simon Hough, associate, Rosling King LLP
  • Are complaints the smoke signals of a malfunctioning TCF culture? Peter Brooke, director, Regulatory Strategy, Risk & Compliance Practice, Navigant Consulting
  • Preparing and delivering a proactive mailing campaign: John Seaton, principal consultant, Huntswood
