Background
The CML/CIFAS 1st annual mortgage fraud conference was widely regarded as the preeminent conference on mortgage fraud in the UK. Over 150 lenders, law enforcement, solicitors, surveyors and regulators attended the event.
No matter what the financial climate, fraudsters will continue to look at means of continuing to profit however they can. The CML will continue to address this issue and once again has organised the industry leading conference on mortgage fraud.
This conference will address; how the deteriorating economic climate is changing the nature of the fraud threat faced by mortgage providers and the current levels of mortgage fraud activity. The day will also look at the growing threat of insider fraud to mortgage providers, and how new technology has enabled lenders to spot complex fraud rings run by organised criminals?
The 2nd CML mortgage fraud conference will again bring all the stakeholders together to look at joined up work and thinking, in targeting fraudsters.
