Published: 1 February 2012 | Author: Bernard Clarke

CML members are being invited to attend a briefing on the proposed European directive on credit agreements relating to residential property (CARRP) by Conservative MEP Vicky Ford.

Vicky Ford is one of the shadow rapporteurs on the CARRP directive and is a member of the European Parliament’s economic and monetary affairs committee, which will play an important role in determining the final form of the directive.

The MEP wants to use the event as an opportunity to brief participants on the current state of play on the directive, listen to key stakeholders from both the industry and consumer groups and answer questions from the media.

The briefing is being organised by the European Parliament Information Office in the UK, and is free to attend. It is being held at Europe House, 32 Smith Square, London SW1P 3EU on Friday 10 February between 11 am and noon.
